Get in Touch for Records

Franklin County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, arrange a release, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Direct those requests to the agency responsible for the person or record.

Choose the Office That Holds It

Use the contact path that matches the question. The public Franklin County Sheriff’s Department page did not provide a public jail roster or booking-photo gallery, so a telephone or records request is the appropriate official first step for county matters.

Current County Custody and Sheriff Records

Franklin County Sheriff’s Department / Franklin County Jail
45 Bare Hill Road
Malone, NY 12953
Booking and current-custody inquiries: 518-483-6795
Administration: 518-483-3304
Undersheriff Wade Sullivan: 518-483-3305
Sheriff Jay Cook: Jay.Cook@franklincountyny.gov

Call the booking line to ask whether the jail can address a current county-custody question or direct you to the proper custodian. Use the administration and records route for a formal county request, rather than assuming that the booking desk processes historical records.

County FOIL and General Office

Franklin County General Office
355 West Main Street
Malone, NY 12953
518-481-1500

For a specific record, complete the county’s FOIL request form and identify the person, date range, agency, and record type as fully as possible. County public-inspection hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays. Those are FOIL-policy hours, not jail booking or visiting hours.

Court Dispositions and Case Records

Franklin County Supreme and County Court
355 West Main Street
Malone, NY 12953
518-353-7340
Listed hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

For a charge outcome, disposition, or court-file question, use the Franklin County Supreme and County Court or check New York eCourts. Online case information can be incomplete, so the court clerk remains the appropriate source for an official court record.

Separate State, Federal, and Immigration Custody Systems

A state-prison placement is different from a county jail booking. Use the DOCCS Incarcerated Lookup for New York state-prison custody, the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator for federal custody, and the ICE detainee locator for its separate detention system. Each source has its own coverage and may not reflect a local arrest or recent county release.

For background on Franklin County source paths, the home page explains booking records, official agency channels, and the county’s FOIL fallback. For a warrant question, use Wanted Fugitives for the documented Sheriff and court routes.
